AMEC will hold its 8th Lineman’s Rodeo on September 24-25, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday and ending at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The proceeds from this event will benefit future international projects sponsored by Missouri Electric Cooperatives.
The rodeo will consist of both individual apprentice and journeyman events as well as a 3-person team event. Teams must consist of at least 2 journeyman. Cost for the individual apprentice and journeyman events is $175 per person, and the team event is $375 per team. Team members may also participate in the individual events for an additional $100. Registration fee includes lunch on Wednesday and Thursday and a reception on Wednesday evening. Lunches will also be provided to all guests/spectators.

All attendees are required to bring a hard hat, safety glasses, hand tools, belt, hooks, handline, rubber gloves, leather gloves, long sleeve shirt, rain gear and appropriate footwear.
Each cooperative will be expected to send one person for every 1-5 employees competing in the rodeo to assist as a station attendant or judge during the event. Station attendants/ judges will receive a rodeo t-shirt and all meals at no charge.
RETURNING THIS YEAR is a unique sponsorship opportunity for Cooperatives! For $150 your Cooperative can purchase a “pole sponsorship”, which will consist of your Cooperative name on a 1½ x 2 ft. sign placed on a utility pole on the competition field.
