Risk Management
and Training
AMEC's
Risk Management and Training Department works to develop and enhance
the technical and professional abilities of Missouri electric cooperative
employees. Particular emphasis is placed on training linemen, meter
technicians and other employees with technical expertise. The department
is also charged with maintaining safety practices at Missouri's electric
cooperatives to reduce the possibility of injury to co-op personnel
and the public. Training activities are conducted both on-site at
member system facilities and at AMEC's state-of-the-art training facility.
In addition to training, AMEC's Risk Management Department also provides
a professional dielectric testing service to ensure that the equipment
cooperatives use is safe. The department also works closely with MECIP,
the Missouri Electric Co-ops Insurance Plan, in order to hold the
line on workman's compensation claims.
